This child has already had so much to get through, but now she has us to help her through it. She is still struggling to do every day things. Its a very sad thing to see her try to play with even the simplest toys, but cannot. She spent 2  OSU NICU, Childrens NICU, and had 2 blood transfusions while there by herself. She spent 4 more months in the hospital after our family went to be with her. After 2 surgery's and countless therapy sessions without gaining ground we started to look for somethign else to help her. When President Obama took office he lifted restraints on Stem Cell Treatment in the US and help to open the door for children like Bella to get treatment. Bella's Mom started to look into other treatments. Duke University has one but you have to have saved your childs cord blood at birth. We did not have that option. So she started to search elsewhere until she found one that was right for Bella. Bella has been accepted into a program at BioRegensis in NV for autologous stem cell transplant (which means its from her own body) This is the safest stem cell for her at this time! We know that she will need more than one treatment but because it is cells taken from her own body she will not have take anti rejection drugs or go through dangerous treatments to get her body to accpet the treatment.
